Special Issue "Geomorphology, Quaternary Geology and Geoarchaeology of the Eastern Mediterranean" of the Journal Zeitschrift für Geomorphologie (ISSN 0372-8854, e-ISSN 1864-1687).

The geomorphology of the landscape represents the dynamic between creative and destructive processes. The interaction of these processes forms, modifies, or destroys geomorphic features on the Earth’s surface. Landforms and landscape are the result of uplift and erosion, both of which are moderated by tectonic and climatic boundary conditions.

We invite submissions to a Zeitschrift fuer Geomorphologie special issue that focuses on “Geomorphology, Quaternary Geology and Geoarchaeology of the Eastern Mediterranean”. We welcome contributions related to a wide range of topics in geomorphology: coastal and submarine geomorphology, fluvial geomorphology, karst geomorphology, tectonic geomorphology - morphotectonics, glacial geomorphology, applied geomorphology, new techniques and methods for geomorphological mapping, geoarchaeology, palaeogeography and paleoenvironmental reconstruction, sea level changes, Quaternary geology, natural hazards and disasters of the Eastern Mediterranean region.

The submission system can be accessed via https://www.schweizerbart.de/submit/zfg

The authors have to register and start the submission process. Papers for the Special Issue shall be submitted to the Section GeoQuatEastMed which can be selected in the very first submission step.

The deadline for manuscript submissions is 31 May 2020. A user Manual for Authors can be downloaded here.
